B.O.S.S. - Business Owners Support System

For Business Owners and potential business owners

One of the things that I specialize in is assisting people with Building their Business Network. This came about for me because of the Mortgage Industry. When it began to change and spiral down, there was no where for me to turn. No colleagues, well, I had 2 people that I constantly stayed in touch with and we just kept each other encouraged to hang in there that it would get better. But nobody that could offer the information or assistance that I needed to keep going and continue growing and developing in an industry that was constantly changing at the time for the bad. This is one of the reasons that The Black Business Café came in to being and the main reason that I decided to specialize in helping other people build a business network. It’s not a pretty picture when you have given your all to something ( a business etc ) and then it starts to go south and you have no where to turn. Some businesses can be spared and saved if they only had a business network and one that was functional. So here I am and ready to share and assist you in building your business network.

The question has been posed…What is a Business Network?

Let me first start by saying that your business network is not all of your friends on your friends list. It is not all the members of the networks that you are a member of. It is not everyone that you come into contact with. It most definitely is not all the people who have given you a business card that you may have saved in your business card holder.

What is a Business Network?
A business network is a group of people:
-That you have connected with that are like minded
-That add value to you
-Where you can go in a time of trouble in your business and find resources
-Where you can turn to when you don’t know what to do
-Where you can to get lots of information
-That backs you up
-That will help you
The ultimate is that this person helps you to grow and develop and keep moving forward

So as you are going forward in growing your business online, remember that everyone that buy from you or everyone that you make a connection with is not your business network. As you are going forward building and establishing relationships remember what a business network is from above and see if any of the relationships that you are building give you what your network should consist of. They may be your customer or client, and yet not be a part of your business network, however, they may consider you to be a part of their business network because you add that value to them and you offer lots of information to them and you help them and back them up and so on. It is possible that you can be a part of someone’s business network and they not be a part of yours. I myself have my business network of people and I work at nurturing that and adding to my network. It takes time to build your business network, but it is worth it. I am a part of quite a few people’s business network because I do the above for them, however, they are not in mine. Not so much because I don’t like them or anything like that, but they don’t do the above for me. Yet I am still networking with them and still talk with them and for some we are friends, but they are not my network for my business.

When you have found those in your circle that do the above for you…You need to begin to nurture those relationships. No it don’t mean that you are in constant contact with them or you all hang out, but you should make note of who you have in your network and what they offer to you. What can you call on this person for. Example: I have a information broker, vendor brokers, event broker, people that cater to women, coaches, web people, network owners just to name a few.

Don’t forget only you can determine your Business Network and they don’t have to be in the same industry as you are.
